Career Panels

Career Panels

Each spring, the AAUW (American Association of University Women) and Rotary Club will sponsor 10 Career Panels designed to help students explore different career options.  Based on a recent survey of HHS students, as well as information about projected job availability, the panels will include such topics as: engineering, information technology, culinary arts, green jobs and health care services.

In its fourth consecutive year, this program brings together professionals with a broad range of experience in an informal setting that gives students a chance to ask question of experts in their field.  Among other things, the panelists share how many years of schooling or training is typical for that career, what the work is like, what they enjoy about their career, and typical starting and mid-career salaries.

The best web links for each career topic are posted under RESOURCES on this page to facilitate further independent career research by students and parents.
