Assistant Principal, Anna Koval

Ms. Koval holds a Bachelor's Degree in English from Sacramento State University and a Master's in Education from National University. She began her career as a high school English teacher at Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento before pursuing studies in Library Media Services. In 2008, she became the Teacher-Librarian at Casa Grande High School, where she is credited fostering collaboration to integrate media and technology and reinvent the library as a 21st Century learning space. Highly skilled in the area of instructional technology, her passion for educational media temporarily led her to pursue employment with Wikipedia, where she served as Manager of their Global Education Program from 2014 to 2016. Most recently, she has been serving as an Instructional Coach with the Sonoma County Office of Education. Her work has centered around the integration of core academic content with Career Technical Education, bridging the divide between academia and the workplace that so often exists in traditional high schools. Ms. Koval is known for strong student and teacher relationships and is seen as an innovator and champion of 21st Century skills.
