Community Service Graduation Requirement
Healdsburg High School Community Service graduation requirement supports the belief that students benefit from the opportunity to make meaningful connections and enrich the lives of others by performing service for their community without receiving any external reward or financial benefit. This requirement is intended to assist students in becoming educated citizens within a safe and successful community. This requirement involves students working on a voluntary basis in non-profit agencies, the public sector or educational institutions. Prior approval from a counselor or administrator is required on any community service project outside the agencies listed below. Forty hours of voluntary community involvement are required of each student who graduates from Healdsburg High School and Marce Becerra Academy.
Students are highly encouraged to complete this requirement early in their high school career. The counseling department will accept community service completed throughout the summer months.
